#EndSARS is a decentralised social media movement that grew into a series of mass protests across the world to call for an end to police brutality in Nigeria.
SARS is the Special Anti-Robbery Squad; a notorious unit of the Nigerian Police created in 1992 by the Nigerian government to combat local crime.
Since its creation, SARS has had a horrific record of abuses, assaults, harassment and murders of young Nigerians.
On 20th October, 2020, the peaceful protests culminated in the Lekki Toll Gate Massacre in Lagos.
We stand with our Nigerian community.
